On the first leg of our SW-USA trip in 2013, we flew into Los Angeles and stayed a few days. Our drive east via Joshua Tree NP brought us to the trains of Kingman, before enjoying some cruising on Route 66 to Seligman.
Grand Canyon NP was our next extended stop, followed by Lake Powell with Antelope Canyon, before we headed on to Monument Valley for some horseback riding.
On the way north to Moab we took a long detour via Four Corners and through Colorado to see Mesa Verde NP.
