More wildlife than I had ever seen before, and all that in a single day... First seals, cormorants and sea otters in Monterey.
Next a rock packed with seals and lion seals on the 17 Mile Drive between Monterey and Carmel.
And last but certainly not least, the colony of elephant seals near Hearst Castle in San Simeon.
A perfect sunset over Morro Bay concluded this day of natural wonders.

(The earliest images suffer a bit from compression issues on top of atmospheric haze, but the late afternoon shoot of the elephant seals, starting from image 40, had better light.)
