The final leg of our SW-USA trip of 2013 saw us leaving Las Vegas for Death Valley NP, where I captured some of the Badwater Ultramarathon in the stark beauty of the desert landscape.
Then towards the Sierra Nevada via Lone Pine, Mammoth Lakes and historic Bodie Town SP near Mono Lake, before climbing the Tioga pass into Yosemite NP.
San Francisco was the last great city or our trip, before meandering back south to Los Angeles on Hway 1 along the Center Coast, catching Monterey, Carmel, Hearst Castle and Santa Barbara (and some wildlife).
