On April 25, the people of Australia and New-Zealand commemorate the battle of Gallipoli (Dardanelles) in 1915.
With a pre-dawn ceremony, honour is paid to all soldiers who have fought and died for their countries in all conflicts of the previous, and sadly also this, century.
I was in Singapore and visited the Changi Chapel (and Camp) Museum on April 24.
A staff member told me about the pre-dawn service that would take place the next day at Kranji War Cemetery and Memorial, way up north.
Obviously I just HAD to go there. I was granted permission to access all areas for the photo report I present here. It was a moving experience.
