This is a first selection of images from a series that I have been shooting all through the first ten days of August.
The final series will try to depict everyday life at (and the participants of) "Zonnekamp".
"Zonnekamp" is a yearly summer camp for people with mental (and many of them also physical) disabilities.
A dedicated group of volunteers provide them with the most wonderful week of fun and stimulation.
These first shots are snippets from the day on which the group went swimming in the local swimming pool.
In order to catch the emotion, I had to move close and get wet. Fortunately, my equipment does not shy away from a few splashes.

This is a wonderful series; and has to be for all of us in the photography industry some of the best work we could ever do. Thanks to you and all the other volunteers who help in any way they can to help those who sometimes need a little extra help.
