In May 2016, Luster Publishers
dispatched me to Havana for one week in order to harvest all the illustrations needed for their book "The 500 Hidden Secrets of Havana"
, latest entry in a successful series of travel guides.
During six very
long days, I roamed the streets and alleys of different quarters of the city, ticking off locations on my lists of must-get photos.
And of course, I kept my eyes open for my own kind of hidden (and not so hidden
) secrets, in order to make these sketches of a fascinating, vibrant and totally unique city.
Included in this gallery are fleeting memories of the random encounters, smiles and glances
that spice up every day: the people of Havana
are probably the main asset of the city.
Another gallery focuses on the architecture and urban scapes that overwhelm and amaze : http://roelh.zenfolio.com/p535019243
