We were in Palermo when the UEFA Championship Final 2012 was challenged between Italy and Spain. A major event to attend.
Television sets were hauled into the streets and onto the restaurant terraces from anywhere and everywhere, in order to watch the game together.
Anticipation ran high and spirits rose. The outcome was sobering. The Italian fans were disappointed but fair: "This Spain was just too strong for the Azurri."
Here are my impressions of the evening.
